Join Community Ecologist, Bob Zaino, co-author of Wetland, Woodland, Wildland: A Guide to the Natural Communities of Vermont, for a pictorial tour of Vermont’s natural communities, their fascinating stories, and wondrous plants and animals. From oak forests to boreal cliffs, Vermont is ecologically diverse. We will explore some of these communities and discuss how we can maintain them far into the future. Join artist Renee Greenlee to learn more about the cyanotype process, our watershed and to create your own colorful map of the Lake Champlain Basin.

Renee's exhibition Blue Alchemy: cyanotypes on silk, an exploration of the Lake Champlain Watershed, is on display in the Main Reading Room from May 30 to August 15, 2023.
