We are so lucky to have so many amazing volunteers here at the library! We are not accepting new volunteer applications at this time, but please feel free to check in with us in the Spring for new openings.

Some of our Volunteer Opportunities:

Circulation Department Volunteer

  • Shelve library materials, gather holds from shelves, & maintain tidiness and order of shelves.

Youth Department Volunteer

  • Shelve library materials, assist with monitoring the youth area desk, & assist with youth programming/events.

Teen/Tween Department Volunteer

  • Shelve library materials, & assist with monitoring the teen space desk.

Special Events/Programming Volunteer

  • Assist with events hosted by FFL.

Friends of Fletcher Free Library Volunteer

  • Assist with marketing, fundraising, book sales & more.

Other Projects

  • Ad hoc projects as needed by the library.

What do I need to be a volunteer?

  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
  • Desire to help your public library and community.
  • Commitment to a regular schedule.
  • Good work habits and appropriate skills for the tasks assigned.
  • Compliance with library rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Interview with our Volunteer Coordinator to determine compatibility.

(Volunteers must be a minimum of 14 years old.)

At this time, the library does not participate in court-ordered community service.
