Multi-media art exhibit that challenges anti-LGBTQ+ legislation in the US, bring awareness to inequities faced by queer individuals, and highlight influential QTPOC artists and activists.

About the Artist

Juneau Rich, aka Prisma Pallet (they/them/Elle), is a queer, Latine, trans, and disabled artist currently residing in Burlington, VT (hometown: Stillwater, NY). They pride themself on being able to create expressive and politically challenging works of art through multiple mediums, such as drag, dance, photography, sewing, digital art, and traditional art. As their senior year at Saint Michael's College comes to a close, Juneau is eager to share part of their capstone project for their Equity Studies Major with the Greater Burlington Area. Transformative: Redefining Queer and Trans Identities in the United States recognizes the harmful perspectives in which the 2SLGBTQIA+ community is being viewed as a result of 500+ anti-LGBTQIA+ bills coming to fruition in the US. However, it also aims to celebrate and highlight joy within the queer community while paying homage to the historical ways in which art has been used during Queer Liberation Movements.
