What age do I have to be to participate in the Summer Challenge?

All ages are welcome to participate, recommended for pre-school and up.

Do I have to live in Burlington or have a Fletcher Free Library card to participate in the Summer Challenge?

Fletcher Free Library welcomes everyone to participate in the “All Together Now” Summer Challenge. You do not have to live in Burlington or have a Fletcher Free Library card. If you live, work, go to school, or own property in Burlington, you can get a library card online to check out materials.

What is Beanstack?

Beanstack is an all-ages app for the web and handheld devices that helps libraries offer reading challenges. More details are on our Beanstack page

I want to participate off-line.

Print a paper version of the Summer Challenge Adventure Passport and return it to library staff. Passports will also be available at the library and at our outreach sites.

How can my daycare children participate in the Summer Challenge?

How do I register for the Summer Challenge?

Register online at fletcherfree.org/summer or through the Beanstack app. Paper reading logs, Adventure Passports, and t-shirts will be available at the library and outreach sites beginning June 20.

Can I pick up FFL t-shirts, reading and activity log books at the library?

Yes! Adventure Passports and t-shirts will be available at the library and outreach sites beginning June 22. You can also get them at Burlington meal sites.

Is FFL serving lunch for kids at the library this year?

The library will not be serving meals to kids this year. Burlington Meal Distribution Sites can be found here.

Where can I get my free books, FFL t-shirts & activities?

Youth Summer Outreach staff will be handing out free books, t-shirts & activities at Burlington meal sites, parks, and schools. See the full schedule here.

The Library will be closed on Friday, August 16 for Bennington Battle Day.
