Spring bird migration is underway! Warblers, thrushes and more will be flying and singing through our forests. Join us for a tour of Arms Forest with Emily Calder from Audubon Vermont. On this bird walk, see, hear, and learn about these wonderful birds. Emily is an Educator at the Green Mountain Audubon Center and has worked as an environmental educator in the White Mountains.
More about Arms Forest can be found here.
Directions:
We will meet at the Leddy Park parking lot near the bike path and walk to Arms Forest where we will explore trails through the woods and shrubland. The trail surface is mostly packed dirt with some rooty areas and bog bridging and may be muddy. Binoculars will be provided for anyone who needs them.
Weather: In case of light rain, the hike will continue! If it is a heavy rain or severe thunderstorms, the hike will be cancelled. Expect muddy or wet terrain. Please wear waterproof shoes.
