Join singer and multi-instrumentalist Mikahely for a family-friendly performance, including original music inspired by Mikahely's upbringing in Madagascar. All ages. No registration needed. Main library.

Pokédex Scavenger Hunt

Pokémon have taken over the library! Get a Pokédex at any of the main desks, and look around the library and youth area to find the Pokémon. Once you find all of them, return your dex to any of the main desks for a chance to win Pokémon Scarlet and other Pokémon memorabilia! The challenge starts on Wednesday, February 1 and ends on Tuesday, February 28. The winners will be announced in early March.

Nurturing a Child’s Sense of Wonder Discussion & Playgroup

Four Winds’ Nurturing a Child’s Sense of Wonder family/parent discussion series introduces the whys and hows of nature-based play and learning.

Using ideas and excerpts from the book Adventure, Play, Peace by Nancy Bower to prompt discussion and inspire outdoor play, the sessions will focus on nature-based play and learning strategies to nurture the social and emotional well-being of all children (and adults, too!).

Stuffie Sleepover!

Do you have a stuffed animal who loves adventures? Have you ever wondered what happens overnight in the library? One night only...stuffies sleep over at the Fletcher Free Library!

How it works: 

Saturday, February 11: Wear your pajamas and bring your stuffie to the Youth Area at 5 p.m. for a special craft, storytime, and songs. Then, you'll tuck in your stuffie and say goodnight! You will go home to sleep, and the stuffed animals will spend the night at the library.
