This Thurs, 7/16, 10 BIPOC authors and illustrators will discuss using racism to fuel artistic expression. Guests include Crystal Allen, Floyd Cooper, Pat Cummings, Lamar Giles, Rafael López, Meg Medina, Linda Sue Park, Christian Robinson, Shadra Strickland, and Lisa Yee.
CLiF's Summer Storytelling Series
CLiF staff and presenters are saddened that COVID-19 means we can not visit camps, libraries, and out-of-school-time programs for our traditional Summer Readers program. While we will still send books to partner programs, we will offer your campers, students, and children the chance to interact live with our presenters who will present from their home. For six weeks starting July 8, each Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.

Burlington, Vermont based singer/songwriter Joe Adler draws on influences that range from the blues, folk, and experimental tendencies of Tom Waits, to the poetic leanings of Leonard Cohen. His band, The Rangers of Danger, completes Adler's sonic portrait with a sound that leans heavy on good ol' rock n roll while paying tribute to music from all over the globe.

Composed of acclaimed musician Pete Sutherland, his talented protégé Oliver Scanlon and the uber-dynamic Tristan Henderson, Pete's Posse never fails to surprise and excite! Twin fiddles in tight, wild harmony over high-powered guitar and pounding foot percussion with mandolin, clawhammer banjo, jaw harp, rocking keyboards, and soaring vocal harmonies adding color to the Posse's sonic landscape.

Zach Nugent’s playing is soulful, rootsy and organic, the kind of sound that grows out of the music naturally and effortlessly. He gigs almost nightly, singing and improvising in different projects around town and around the country. A lifelong Grateful Dead fan, Zach has a musical resume with that one vital, matchless feature: As far back as he can remember, music has been an integral part of his life.
