Lakeview Cemetery (455 North Avenue, Burlington)
Limited parking onsite, overflow at Burlington High School - look for signs.
Join us for an evening of star gazing with Dave Tabor of Stellafane. Learn about the night sky and try out a telescope while you snack on moon pies and sip hot apple cider!
This event is for all ages.
Below is some information, and helpful suggestions for great viewing:
-Skies should be clear, but it's still October in northern Vermont. Temperatures could drop to 30-40℉ and the wind off the lake can be quite chilly. Please wear warm clothes.
-Please give yourself a little time to get settled. We request you arrive between 6-6:30pm.
-There will be bathrooms available near the entrance to the cemetery.
-Sorry, but pets are not allowed at this event. Thanks for understanding!
-Lastly, we're spending the evening looking up at the sky, please bring whatever you need to be comfortable - blankets, chairs, pillows, beanbags, snuggies, flashlight - it's up to you.

Yes! The library will have a limited telescopes to use. If you have one at home you'd like to bring, please feel free!

The Lakeview Cemetery is full of Burlington history, has a great veiw of the sky right on Lake Champlain, and is a lovely place to stargaze.
