Weiss Financial

Weiss Financial is a financial information service providing in-depth financial information, research, and analytical tools. FFL cardholders can access all of their modules. These include viewing financial strength ratings for banks, credit unions, stocks, and mutual funds, as well as online class modules like financial literacy basics, consumer guides, and investment basics.

Check out Consumer Reports product reviews and ratings to make smarter buying choices.

The Fletcher Free Library's account with Consumer Reports Online gives you premium access to product reviews and ratings on cars, appliances, electronics and much more.  Individuals would normally have to pay an annual subscription fee to access this important site, but now you can get it for free: all you need is a Fletcher Free Library card! When prompted type in your 14-digit library barcode number to gain access.

Vermont Online Library

Vermont Online Library (or VOL), is brought to you in part by the Vermont Department of Libraries. Gale's suite of databases is a one-stop source for news and magazine articles on a wide range of topics: business, current events, economics, education, health care, literature, biographies, art, auto repair (Chilton's) and science.  Millions of full-text articles, many with images. You cannot find this in-depth level of research with a Google search! When prompted type in your 14 digit library barcode # to gain access.

Ancestry International -- Library Edition

The Fletcher Free Library offers the world’s most popular consumer online genealogy resource, Ancestry.com, including the international records. Over 7,000 databases containing billions of individual records are combined into one of the most robust genealogy research tools ever.  Ancestry.com is available for free use while at the Library only. 

Burlington Free Press

The Burlington Free Press began as a weekly publication in 1827. In 1848, it became a daily newspaper, except for Sundays, which were added in 1965.

Chronicling America has digitized issues of the Burlington Weekly Free Press and the Burlington Free Press. They are accessible in two time periods:
