CSLP is super happy to announce that our 2020 "Imagine Your Story" Summer Reading Champion is author and storyteller Carmen Agra Deedy.

Beginning in June, Carmen will be reading and sharing stories every Friday at 12pm EDT. She will be sharing from her facebook page at:

Carmen has spent the past twenty years writing and telling stories. Born in Havana, Cuba, she came to the U.S. as a refugee in 1964. She grew up in Decatur, Georgia, where she lives today. She has been an invited speaker at venues as varied as The American Library Association, Refugees International, The International Reading Association, Columbia University, The Smithsonian Institute, TED, The National Book Festival, and the Kennedy Center. She is the author of several award winning children's books including; The Library Dragon, The Yellow Star, and Martina the Beautiful Cockroach.
