The Library will be closed on Monday, October 14 for Indigenous Peoples' Day.

We are located at 235 College Street in the heart of downtown Burlington, Vermont, at the intersection of College Street and South Winooski Avenue. It’s easy to get to us.

By Car

Downtown Burlington is accessed via I89 from the north and east, and by Route 7 from the south. We are one block east of the shopping and restaurants on Church Street. Find us using a mapping tool.

Park next to the library in our metered city parking lot, at on-street metered parking spots, or in nearby city parking garages which offer two hours of free parking. For complete information about parking downtown, along with parking rates, visit parkburlington.com.

We are happy to make change at the front desk for parking meters.

By Bus

We are 3 blocks from the GMT Downtown Transit Center at 100 Cherry Street. Green Mountain Transit’s bus routes serve Chittenden County and beyond. See the bus schedule.

By Bike or on Foot

Burlington has bike lanes and walk/bike paths throughout the city and extending to neighboring communities. Map your route to the library using the Local Motion Walk/Bike Map.

We have bike racks in front of the library.

Call us at 802-863-3403 if you need help finding your way to the library.
