The Spirit of Summervale Concert Series: Presented by the Intervale Center

Zach Nugent’s playing is soulful, rootsy and organic, the kind of sound that grows out of the music naturally and effortlessly. He gigs almost nightly, singing and improvising in different projects around town and around the country. A lifelong Grateful Dead fan, Zach has a musical resume with that one vital, matchless feature: As far back as he can remember, music has been an integral part of his life.

“I grew up listening to life changing music like the Grateful Dead, Old And In The Way, Peter Tosh, and Buena Vista Social Club. Since I was able, I’ve found ways to play music, and got my first guitar at 12. I’ve been playing since, and haven’t turned back.

I played in various projects through school, and during my senior year of high school was recruited to play professionally with a local Bluegrass collaboration. This was the birth of my performing career. Since then, I’ve played in numerous groups, and founded Cats Under The Stars, and co-founded Dead Set, both out of Burlington, VT.”

During set break we will hear from the Intervale Conservation Nursery, as well as featured sponsor Lake Champlain Chocolates.

Tune in as we go LIVE at 6:30pm on our Facebook and Instagram pages. For more info: https://www.intervale.org/summervale
