Get ready to vote before Town Meeting Day on Tuesday, March 5! Lynn Yellen, a teaching artist with more than 30 years of experience, will facilitate this workshop that explores young people's attitudes toward voting and the issues that concern them. The emphasis of the workshop is on the positive impact of increased youth turnout and the things they can do — registering to vote, sharing their decision on social media, and even conducting their own pre-registration drive — to amplify their political concerns and the powerful message that young people can and should have a voice in shaping the kind of society they want to live in. The practical how-tos of registering to vote are included!
For ages 14-18 (younger patrons who are interested in the process are also welcome).
No required registration.
Fletcher Free Library and this workshop are completely non-partisan and do not endorse any political candidate nor party. This workshop focuses on voter readiness and preparing young people to vote.
