October's Guest Speaker: Sarra Talib

Sarra Talib is a transdisciplinary practitioner and scholar exploring systems-based approaches to designing waste out of the food system. She is a Graduate Fellow at the Gund Institute for Environment and the Food Systems Research Center, a member of the Food Agency Lab, and a PhD candidate in Food Systems at the University of Vermont. Her research explores chefs as “change agents” for sustainable food systems transitions with a focus on the role of culinary innovation in catalyzing a circular economy for food. She has a BA in Economics from George Washington University, and an MS in Development Management from the School of International Service, American University. Learn more about Sarra's work here.
