From Prince George's Community College:  Clarinet and Friends is a clarinet trio based out of the D.C. area and is comprised of Albert Hunt (clarinet), Eunju Kwak (violin), and Jeongseon Choi (piano). They will perform a variety of pieces for clarinet, piano, and violin by Saint-Saëns, Milhaud, Khachaturian, and Poulenc.

From Prince George's Community College:  Arco and Aire are a tango duo based out of Washington D.C. Maxfield Wollam-Fisher on cello and Heyni Solera on bandoneon specialize in music written by composers still alive today. They will be performing a variety of duos together.

Virtual program from the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture. NMAAHC curator Dr. Dwandalyn Reece will moderate a discussion about Hulu's The United States vs. Billie Holiday.  The film was directed by Academy Award nominee Lee Daniels, with a screenplay written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Suzan-Lori Parks. It features  It offers glimpses into the corners of Billie Holiday's story which were overshadowed by the controversy surrounding Lady Day and her untimely death. Panelists will include Mr. Daniels and Ms.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture will host a discussion on how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the economy and the African American community. Panelists Algernon Austin(link is external) and Jevay Grooms(link is external) will discuss this economic issue and how the community may prevail with critical interventions. Michael Fletcher(link is external) of ESPN’s Undefeated will moderate the discussion.

Explore topics such as racism as they are covered in this month's book and relate to parenting. This is an opportunity to create a safe space for discussion, keeping in mind that the facilitators are not experts and are looking to connect and support each other around important parenting issues.
