A chance for youngsters to get up close and friendly with some of the most important instruments used in traditional music.  And share the Irish heritage with a new generation, or expand your children’s cultural horizons by creating some Irish-themed crafts. All ages are welcome.

Born in Co.Tipperary and buried in Burlington, John Lonergan lived a life that spanned the Great Hunger in Ireland, combat in the American War of the Rebellion, and attacks on Canada when he was the head of the Fenian Brotherhood in Vermont. Liam McKone, author of Lonergan’s biography, will present a quick-march tour of Irish history, the War of the Rebellion, and efforts to restore the independence of Ireland.
