Museum Pass Program

The Fletcher Free Library Museum Pass Program offers community members the opportunity to utilize the information and programs that local museums, educational centers and parks have to offer at a discounted rate.  These attractions include Birds of Vermont MuseumECHO, Lake Champlain Maritime MuseumShelburne Farms, Shelburne Museum, Vermont Historic Sites, Vermont History Museum and Vermont State Parks.

  • Fletcher Free Library cardholders with no fines and who are 14 years of age or older.

  • Reservations may be made in person at the Youth Desk or by phone at 802.865.7216.
  • Reservations may be made up to four weeks in advance of a given date.
  • A family may use the Museum Pass Program a maximum of two times a month, but they must visit two different museums in that time period.  Patrons may not check out two passes to the same museum within any one-month period (i.e. Shelburne Farms).
  • A patron may have one museum pass checked out to their card at a time.
  • The Library is not responsible for honoring reservations when passes have not been returned by the previous borrower.  Every attempt will be made, however, to retrieve late passes.
  • The list of participating museums is subject to change.

  • All passes must be picked up and returned to the Youth Desk during library hours.  Passes may not be returned in the book drop.
  • Individuals will be charged $3.00 per day for not returning the pass before the Library closes on the day the pass is scheduled to be returned.
  • If a reserved pass is not picked up by 12:00 noon the day of the reservation, the pass will be made available to other patrons.

  • Welcome Center: 10 am - 5 pm.

  • Walking Trails: 10 am - 4 pm year-round, weather permitting (no pass required in winter).

  • Free admission for 1 family (2 adults & their children under age 18 years) per visit.

  • One pass at a time may be checked out from the FFL once/month.

  • Check in at the Welcome Center, then walk or take shuttle/wagon to the farm.

  • Tours are not included in the Library Pass benefit.

Shelburne Museum

  • Entry to the Vermont History Museum in Montpelier grants the pass-holder free admission to the Vermont Heritage Galleries in Barre.

  • Pass may be checked out from the FFL once/month.

Vermont State Parks

  • Day use only (no overnight camping).  Note that some State Parks are for overnight camping, only, so the pass cannot be used at these parks.  Allowed sites are listed on the back of the pass, and at the FFL Youth Desk.
